Lunchtime / Free School Meals

EYFS & KS1 lunchtime is from 11:45am to 12:50pm and KS2 lunchtime is from 12.35pm to 1.40pm (times are staggered for each year group). Children may have a school meal or bring a packed lunch. We encourage children to make healthy food choices and ask that packed lunches do not just contain crisps or chocolate / sweets. Children must not bring in any glass bottles or cans.

Our school meals are booked using Parent Pay and are £2.30 each unless your child qualifies for Free School Meals. We have a three week rolling menu and we’ve provided a copy of our menu, a helpful user guide and the link to access the Parent Pay website:

Health & Safety

We have a proactive approach to health & safety. This is not intended as a barrier to the learning process, but to enable us to learn in a safe environment.

Adults in School

The safety and well-being of our pupils and staff is really important and we want every child and staff member to feel safe in their learning and working environment. We have very robust safeguarding procedures in place and do not allow any visitor to wander freely around the academy, unless accompanied by an up to date DBS and photo ID.

All the adults who work within our academy have to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and will not be allowed to work with children until this is complete. All our staff receive Safeguarding training on a regular basis and we have designated Safeguarding Officers and a Safeguarding Lead.

First Aid

A number of our staff are paediatric first aider trained. Should your child have a bump or graze, they will bring a slip home with them. In the unlikely event of a more serious accident, the appropriate medical care would be called and you would be contacted immediately to inform you of the incident.

Emergency closures

We will endeavour to keep our school open at all times, however there are occasions that we cannot predict e.g. weather and equipment breakdown. If there are any such occasions we keep our families informed by text message, school website and the local radio stations. Please do keep us informed of any changes to your phone numbers so we can always get in touch with you.
