Key Weekly Information

All children in KS2 are expected to read every day and have their reading record book signed. Children can also earn prizes and book rewards when they do this.

Homework will be set every Friday and put onto Seesaw. This will need to be completed and returned on Seesaw the following Friday for each teacher to mark and provide feedback.

PE will now be every Tuesday and Friday. Children need to wear their full PE kit (including house t-shirts and appropriate footwear) to school on the day they have PE.


Year 5 started off their first term building on team spirit. They were very lucky to welcome Bristol Bears in on a weekly basis to help them and have enjoyed every minute. They’ve been reading ‘Wolf Wilder’ by Katherine Rundell and we’ve had so many lovely comments about the book. Year 5 had another busy and focused term in term 2. They spent time looking into the truth behind the Christmas story and made some electronic Christmas cards. Please have a read of what else they got up to:


Year 5 have been ready a new book this term called ‘Coraline’. It definitely is a bit of a creepy one but they have all really enjoyed it. They’ve also written letters to our Prime Minister after looking at ‘slums’ in the UK. Please have a read of the following to see what else they have been doing this term:


Year 5 have have had another wonderful term! In Art they have made some ‘Banksy’ style welcome messages and have looked at the ‘Ottoman Empire’ in History. Another new text for this term, ‘Varjak Paw’ which the children have loved and say it’s their most favourite one yet!
